Heiwa-Ryu Junior Program
Now accepting students for Junior Program to begin on May 1, 2004

Program Goals
- To introduce Heiwa to a younger audience (ages 5-9)
- To provide a fun, safe, and disciplined environment.
- To make students equivalent of a yellow belt in Heiwa-Ryu's standard program in an average time period of two years.
Specifically, by the end of the program, students should be able to:
- Recite: The Way, Torch, Life, and Fight.
- Have a basic understanding of martial arts history and philosophies.
- Understand and follow dojo protocol.
- Perform all stretching and calisthenics smoothly.
- Do 34 push-ups, 34 sit-ups.
- Perform advanced tumbling smoothly, and be comfortable with the ground.
- Perform all walking and turning smoothly.
- Perform all Kenpo Waza.
- Perform Taikyoko 1,2.
- Perform Kihon Kumite: 6 Combative techniques.
- Be able to perform basic strikes and kicks on the bag with focus.
The following will not be included in the Junior Program:
- Tai Chi Ch'uan
- Kata above Taikyoko
- Pressure point discussion
Heiwa-Ryu is planning to re-institute its Junior Program (for Children ages 5-9).
The program is scheduled to begin on May 1st, 2004 - proving that we have a minimum of 5 students.
Tentative Time will be from 6:00 pm to 6:45 pm on Thursday nights at our regular training facility.
