Definitions/Descriptions: The Pictograph is attempting to graphically represent the relationships between the levels of knowledge that run from self help / first aid to the level of those healing professionals who represent the leading edge of medical research and applied therapies. |
|
|
|
|
|
Basic Information: The level at which most individuals operate; "I have a headache, let me
take some aspirin." Minimal Understanding: The level where certain individuals are able to relate "Symptom - Effect - Cause". An example might be a mother giving her child an enema. Further Understanding: At this level, the patient is also an educator, first to himself and then to those around him or her. A good example is diet and nutrition. One might have consumed fat or sugar products over the years only to discover that heart disease is definitely tied to fat intake and the storage of sugars as fats and other elements. Armed with that knowledge, our traveler minimizes all fat and sugar intake and starts to reduce the intake by members of their immediate family. Clinical Research and Healing Applications: This applies to those medical professionals, both Western and Oriental, that understand cell metabolism and bioelectrical relationships. Armed with this knowledge, they practice the art of healing and dealing with chronic disease in others. |

| A. | Hormone Balance - Both men and women have a need for their hormones to be in balance. Hormone testing is available. We urge all our students to take the "saliva test" to establish a baseline and start on a "Progesterone Program" of their own. There are many benefits - rversal of osteoporosis and the increase in bone density is just one of the benefits. | |
| B. | Thyroid Balance - Almost all people in industrialized nations will suffer from hypo-thyroidism - low energy, weight that just doesn't seem to come off, etc. Again, take charge of and responsibility for your own health. Take your basal body temperature and see where you are. | |
| C. | The Healing Process - Recovery from "chronic disease" or lingering
sickness. Our bodies are complex in how all of the parts relate to each other and to
our mental state; all of us have seen our bodies affect our moods and our moods affect out bodies;
anyone who has played sports or been in the arts can confirm this. What seems to get lost in American culture today is the relationship of the following items: We are who the Lord created (Triune). We are who we think we are (Spirit). We are what we do (Mind). We are what we eat (Body). Note that throughout this inter-relationship, our bodies seem to dynamically record and keep score on both a short-term basis and a long-term basis. |

1. ATTITUDINAL HEALING 2. CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENTS 3. MASSAGE 4. DIET EDUCATION FOODS CONSUMED & HERBAL TEAS Moves body to alkaline state - aids in evacuation/elimination 5. BATHS, EXTERNAL APPLICATIONS 6. EXERCISE - 30 MINUTES |
This process shifts the focus from the "dis-ease" and the symptoms
over to the cause and the healing process from within. Adjustments specifically improve circulation and nerve flow; generally improves structural balance and general well being. Supports colon and lymph functions. Promotes lymphatic circulation and the release of toxins. Giving the body what it needs in order to shift into a healing mode and promote the control of symptoms. High Potassium intake, high alkaline diet, low acid fiber, fresh fruit, and vegetables - no caffeine - limited alcohol. Cleans / clears the colon. Help to heal external lesions and relieve the itching. The development and/or participation in a regular exercise program assists all body functions to receive increased blood supplies which augments the detoxification process. Utilize the Tai Chi Chuan as both an exercise and as an attitudinal shift device. |

1. "Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it." - Unknown This time worn cliche is unfortunately true now as when it was first uttered; so what does it have to do with those suffering from chronic illness? Maybe there is some merit and value in looking at some of the historical views of sickness and its treatment of the spirit, mind, and body. |
2. The (Chinese) Yellow Emperor, Hippocrates, Plato and the moderns of Gerson, Schwitzer, and Cayce viewed and treated sickness on a "Wholistic" basis. They treated the spirit, mind, and body as a unit. As a result, they were able to heal people in a more complete manner than those proponents of "...here is an aspirin for your headache..." who never asked why you have the headache - cause and effect. | 3. Focus - The Heiwa-Ryu program is aimed at treating spirit, mind, and body. |

| "'According to Dr. Gerson's research, the beginning of all chronic disease is the loss of potassium (K) from the cells and invasion of Sodium (NA) into the cells - and with it water. This causes edema and the resulting malfunctions - loss of electrical potentials in the cells, improper enzyme formation, reduced cell oxidation, etc. The building of almost all enzymes requires K as a catalyst...and is inhibited by sodium (NA) ...The extent of these malfunctions then determines how and to what extent the system is affected and where the symptoms will occur. In order to initiate healing then, it is essential to remove excess Na from the cells, re-introduce large |
|
| amounts of K, and detoxify the system of accumulated intermediary substances and other toxins. This is best accomplished by large amounts of K from fresh fruit and juices, detoxification through the kidneys and by enemas, and reactivation of the liver by special liver therapy. If this were only a theoretical assumption, it would not be worth mentioning. However, in Dr. Gerson's many years of experience with all types of chronic disease, this process worked in practice. Degenerative diseases could be reversed, eliminated, and the body healed." | |
| After reviewing the works of Dr. Max Gerson, Mr. Robert Gray, and Dr. John Pagano, it is quite logical to use chiropractic adjustments to assist in the clearing / cleaning operations that must be involved in the healing of all disease and in particular psoriasis / eczema. | ![]() |
